I have already posted in the mechanical section as our 1970 Cream Traveller "Mavis" has broken down this afternoon.
Aside from that issue the car is great, not in superb, but instead good condition - the paintwork is excellent but some aspect of the wood will need replacement in the near future. Rust isnt too bad, the sills has some bubbling but its really a lot better than we expected when we went to view. Its my Mum's car - we've had it for two weeks and intend to make some alterations (beside the wood):
1. Fit a new steering wheel, the past owner fitted an aftermarket one
2. Fit Minor front seats, again the past owner fitted aftermarket seats from a Ford Fiesta

3. Only parts of the wood are mildly rotten, but its the back doors that will need the quickest attention. About 80% of The side panelling is in great condition.
4. New over riders - there is a patch of rust on both.
The car has minilite alloys fitted (by the previous owner) and look great but we have the original wheels which are in average condition and need a good clean.
I look forward to getting advice on this forum - Im not the most technically minded but intend to learn about the technical side of cars more, as I am really interested in cars in general. Hopefully I will finally get round to driving lessons at the end of university and might then be able to be on Mums insurance for the Morris when passed! I am a member of mg-rover.org forums under the same username if anyone recognises me!
Many thanks
Chris
Here is the car - the dog is not ours though!
