Can't remember who asked but the number of cars and people attending was as follows.
About 1400 cars attended over the two days.
920 pre booked
150 overseas ( 45 Dutch 45 Germans, 30 Scandinavians main groups)
50 ish MO and 6/80s
20 Land Crabs
3 Marinas
1 Jag E type
1 Jag XK120
LCV register
300 cars who had not pre booked over the two days.
Which equates to about 3000 to 3500 people or about 30% of the MMOC membership.
Andrew
44 Traders selling lots and lots of parts and equipment.

How does that compare with the 50th anniversary? I believe around 2,300 cars attended. The dutch contingent was around 90 cars.

That would be about right!
The numbers from Europe were about half those in 1998. The Full numbers were given in another post.

In case it's not clear from the video, the raft is made from two baths and the paddles are toilet lids!

When did the Irish lads boat sail?
We watched the race Sunday Lunch before we had to leave for home and they weren't there.

I don't remember if the Irish MMOC entered a raft. The Northern Irish Branch (the two blokes in the bathtub catamaran) were in the 12PM Saturday trials, the 11PM Sunday heat, and the 1:45PM final.
