front brake, r/h side not working...

hi, is there a way to un seize my morris minor front brake wheel cilinders, both of the wheel cilinders are seized btw oh yes on a 1958 morris

take the shoes off and turn the piston with a screwdriver,then ease it out and put some copper slip onto it to prevent it sticking again.make sure the piston dosent come right out or you will need to bleed the brakes.afterwards check that there is no fluid seeping past the piston.sometimes the rubber seal gets damaged in the process.

If they are seized then either the piston is cold welded to the cylinder wall, or the rubber seal is stuck. Either way as we are talking single circuit brakes, they will need to be stripped, cleaned and the cylinder walls inspected for corrosion. If no corrosion, fit new seals, and consider having the cylinder walls honed. If there is corrosion (and it;'s a safe bet there will be) replace the cylinders on both sides of the car to give decent brake balance.
