hi there,
Just after a bit of help really. My boyfriend is a big Morris Minor fan and he turns 30 in a few months time, i have been wracking my brains about what to get him for his birthday and i think hiring a Morris Minor and going away for a few days is my best idea. However i have searched the net and cannot find anywhere to hire a one from in the Essex/ London area. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Lucy

just had a look on the web cant see anything for london area. the ones they had on there were nearly £400 if you wanted it for 3 to 4 days... have you ever thought of buying him a moggy as a long term project? you could buy one for that price!

There are many classic car hire companies throughout the uk, several of which will loan a Minor.
Often they will bring the car and all the paperwork to a local hotel, so you could make a double-whammy of it. You wake in the morning and say he's going on a tour-bus, when the Moggy appears outside the hotel.
As for Essex / London, I don't know. Most of the hire places are in the North / Midlands area.
I hired a MkII Jag for a day this month to give my Granddad a treat - £220 it was. Well worth it! The company didn't have a Minor though.

Excellent - I wouldn't mind hiring one myself as I have never driven one - mine is a longterm restoration project so can't wait until it is finished....

thank you all. i think i will look into the one for hire in the cotswolds and make a weekend of it. I don't think buying him one is an option really as i think i would buy the wrong one - he knows los about them and i know absolutly nothing, plus he already owns 2 cars and has no time as it is! One day i know he wants to buy another one but i think i'll have to leave it to him to choose.
Thanks for all the great ideas though!
