Incidentally, is the little lifting pin under the carb dashpot an accurate way to lift the piston to check rev change? Just wondered, since everyone's always recommended the use of a screwdriver!
Still the same problems I had at last check; a faulty earth is leaving the car with erratic electricity, and the clutch jumps. I'm getting an engine lift in the very near future and out will come the engine once more, to check the clutch- at the same time I'll be dealing with the earth.
