Hi All,

Haven't asked this for a few years but then I haven't had a roadworthy Minor for a while!!

Anyone going to the National on the Sunday via M11 and/or A14 who would like to form a convoy.

How are others getting there from the south as I may change my route?

Cheers

Martin :D

I am coming up from Stevenage. Not sure of the route yet, but A1/A14 is reasonable, and probably better than sitting on M1. We would probably get to Brampton Hut (roundabout and services at A1/A14 roundabout) about 9am on Sunday. Any good?

It's v. easy - where the A14 meets the junction of the M6/M1 theres an island. Standford Hall is signposted from that island We're not allowed to put signs on major roads, but follow the brown signs and pick up the MMOC ones. See you all there. Safe journey!

Haven't checked the route yet.
A few of us are coming from around Bedford / Northampton areas. Would be fun to link up somehow.

Sorry I didn't read your post properly

You say Sunday......

I'm asking about a convoy on Friday.

I accept, with my little 918cc, I'll have to 'run' behind

I'll be shouting 'Wait for meeeeee'

If coming north on M1 you cannot get off at J19 for Stanford Hall (only M6) Stanford Hall is also brown signed from J18.

Hopefully I'll be able to buy enough petrol to get me there and back :-?

Another tanker fuel strike is planned for next weekend and due to 'panic buying' today my local petrol station has already sold out of diesel and has long queues for the petrol :(

It's not panic buying - it's just common sense. When Gordon Clown says 'don't panic' - that's the time to panic!

Another one? :-?

A full tank is probably *just* sufficient to get there and back if I drive very conservatively, however that assumes I will be able to fill up before I set off on Friday.

To avoid splitting Martin's post, I've put one about a Friday convoy here:
