Ive been lucky enough to get some film work with the Traveller for Wednesday and Friday this week and Stevey has got 2 days next week with his saloon. Dont know anything about the movie yet other than its set in 1975. Hopefully it should be an interesting couple of days. The Travellers becoming a bit of a film star, its been in Breakfast on Pluto as well!

It was a really weird film about an Irish priest in the 50's who got his housekeeper pregnant and then how the son grew up to be a transvestite!!!!!!!!!! Very weird but I didnt know the story until it came out as they keep it all hush hush.

So we had to be'on location'!! for 3.30pm. Then we sat around until 9.45 before they wanted to use the cars....... Very long day and they want us back tomorrow to catch upon the stuff they didnt get done today. The film company didnt even pay us to make sure we come back. Hows that for cheek?
So the films called Five minutes from Heaven and is set in 1975 about a murder during the troubles and then comes to present day when the victims family meet with the murderer. Very cheery story line!
In Breakfast on Pluto you can see my traveller and blue saloon at the same time in the scene when they are leavng the doctors and then twice at the nightclub bomb scene, and a couple of other very brief glances!!

Not such a long day today, met up for 2pm and left at 8pm, could have been earlier but stayed for a feed! I took the lowlight along today to polish up while we were standing around and they ended up using it too. Back again tomorrow for 1pm.

Pays not to bad, but it gets boring after a while. Like on Friday I didnt leave the film set until 1.30 in the morning..... You have to be on hand all the time in case they need it moved which they seem to all the time!! The guy who deals with the cars says that this director is the pickiest one he has ever seen.
they are using a mark 3 cortina which is going to be blown up near the end of the film, good job it wasnt a minor or they might have had a protest!

I picked up my car from a car show yesterday and there was a little note under the windscreen wiper saying that they'd like to use my car for a film called 'Balibo'. Balibo is a town in Timor where some Australian and British journalists were killed by the Indonesian Army while covering the invasion of East Timor in 1975. They want the minor for scenes set in Darwin. When I rang the bloke that left the note, he said they'd cast me as an extra! Lucky I kept the old 70's numberplates!
