Clutch or lack of it!
The car has been standing for about 18 months whilst I have been rebuilding the rear bodywork
This was completed this weekend and an MOT is booked for tomorrow am.
Adjusted brakes etc, engine starts and runs sweetly but when I tried to put her ingear and drive off the ramp.NO CLUTCH.
Clutch pedal seemed very low so I have adjusted that up but still no joy.
Presumably clutch is stuck, but how do I release it?
Please help
Dave

I would get it off the ramp and out onto the drive first. Run the engine for half an hour or so to get the flywheel hot. Switch the engine off. Securely chock the wheels. Put it in fourth gear. Press the clutch pedal down. Try the starter motor.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Success!
MOT went well so Horace is back on the road!
On the 4 post ramp I bought that out of exzchange and mart about 15 years ago from a tyre fitter who was changing over to hydraulic ramp. I think I paid about £150 for it which was the price of a good trolley jack. It has been a great help as I can do all sorts of jobs on my cars without crawling around on the floor. I'm too old for that game now!
