I am looking for a petrol gauge for a 53 morris minor, on my one when you dismantle it there is a small insulated strip under the needle assembly across the terminals that i think could be a resistor which has fried does anyone know if you could use a modern resistor and what value it should be
thanks

53 would be the gold dash? If that's the case I have a spare gauge if you need one.

Looks like it might have to be yours Dave, I've been down in the container hunting for my spare set and I can't find them anywhere. I'll check the garage in the morning as a last ditch effort.
