Why are there two types of front panels for low lights one with the grille integeral and one where the grille is a bolt in piece, did production change sometime or is one a 'delux' type thing to allow a chrome centre to be fitted? The one I managed to get, form Australia originally I believe has the grill integeral, but most other cars on here seem to have the other type?

99% of the ones I've seen here in Oz,
have been the TWO piece type on Series MM Low Lights.
I think as Chrome was getting very scarce,
the one piece grills where manufactured.
There must have been abit of a cross over as
I have seen a few Series II grills with a two
piece set up as well, and they are rare, due to the
one piece ones being the norm on the Series II.
And I also think it had something to do with cars made
for local U.K. consumption Vs. Export models,
but I could be wrong.
