I have one, was on car when I bought it. Not very good, crazed badly. Now got hold of a steel one that I am about to repair. Don't do it.

I've got one and it's been okay. I panelled the double-skinned bit to stop anything in the boot whacking the fibreglass and crazing it.

Fibreglass seems to get more brittle and prone to cracking when it's old (i.e over 20 years). I guess that varies depending on how well it was made and the quality of the gel coat.
One thing to bear in mind is that body panels like wings get pelted by stones from the inside every so often, so if the fibreglass is past its sell by date it's more likely to leave those lovely spider web cracks.
