V8 minor (another one)

Post by motherofgod »

Well yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting another V8 minor and it's owner called andy from near Brighton. So here are some pictures, quite like Nick Manns, twin turbo rover, manual box, jaguar running gear.

Mmmmmm.
Two V8 minors
One empty carpark
Was there a quadruple stripe theme by the time you left? :D
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

That will be the one that was featured in Street Machine many years ago when it was white with a blue roof then took part in CCC car of the year?

It looks like the same guy still owns it.

"The car does still exist and as far as when I last asked about 2 years ago was still owned by drag racing legend and Showtime Nitro Funny Car Assistant Crew Chief, Bill Sherratt, who bought the car from Nic Mann in the late 80's when it was outlawed in hillclimbing. The Minor was the quickest street legal car in the country for quite a few years and won numerous Street Machine/Kingston Medical Gases Street Racer Championships at York Raceway."

motherofgod...take this as you will, but i personally think yours looks one hell of a lot more beautiful than the other. the fact yours keeps many of the original "lines" of a minor makes it more of a head turner than the other. even if it isnt as quick!! ;-)

Hey, thank you. I do like both.....his is so well engineered(made mine look poo poo) for instants the rear wings were made by him. Well actually nearly all of the the car was built by him. nice little touches like the front arch rims were made by him. Although he did want me to do his interior :D .

For the record I think your wheels look excellent

James is being modest, as those who have seen his Minor in the flesh will know.
