I'm wondering which seat fits where! Is the drivers side the one with the recliner adjusting wheel on the right or the left please?

I think the adjuster wheels are in the middle of the car (so in the right-hand seat the wheel would be on your left).

I find my Metro seats fit very nicely in my Metro. Whereas my Metro seats (that I sold a couple of years ago and which came back to me when I bought my Minor) don't fit my Minor so well.
As for the recliner, I can't remember which side it is on the Metro, but if on the outside of the seat in the Minor there's not a lot of room to reach down to turn it. the seats don't appear sided in any other way so simply fit however works best for you

Looks like the adjusters face each other

We found that if you put the adjusters in the middle then they dont argue with the working of the inertia seat belt.

I just finished taking the seats out of my minor(Drivers seat) and it looked pretty simple just 4 bolts hold down a bracket. Thats for the two brackets that hold it into place. So in theory most seats without gadgets like heated seats would work with some purswasion and metal work. At least i hope. My seats were in terible condition.

You need a special adapter frame to make the Metro seats fit the Minor floor properly and at the correct height. The frame bolts at the back as well as the front so you need to drill new holes in the floor to fit it.

The seats shown in the picture are genuine metro seats and they would not fit to the specially made 'metro seat bases' produced by a well known supplier. Aparently the source of metro seats changed over the years and the width between the runners altered.

Agreed they have to be from an early Metro to fit the "metro seat bases" from the well known supplier. early 80's I believe.
