Newbie help, where is the bonnet release??

I cant find the bonnet release catch?? Where is it, or should it be?? If its missing, how can I manualy release it??

It's a wire handle under the dashboard near the driver's right knee.

Congratulations, btw, on asking this for approx the millionth time :D Answers to next questions - the starter dog spanner size is 3/4 Whitworth, and the dip switch is just to the left of your left foot ;) Welcome to the forum

The little slide switch under the dash? It controls the speedo backlights. ;)

haha! i remember when dad bought his minor, he broke down on the A27, knew it was a fuel pipe in the engine bay, but couldnt see how to open the bonnet, hilarious! well...now it is anyway!!
