I went last night to my favorite monthly meet. Its 2nd tuesday of the month near leicester at The Carrington Arms in Ashby Follville.

I love this meet. Its informal, huge and every taste is catered for, from early 20th century bikes and cars through to recent supercars and everything in between.

Last night I would estimate that 500 bikes, 500 interesting vehicles and 2000 people turned up.

Moggy waiting to enter, (I always turn up early cos it is nice to hear things arrive) the tr7 behind is a 300bhp track day car that belongs to a freind and we came together. Well he just didn't overtake me and went at my pace. At one point on a dual carriageway we were doing an unrepeatable mph side by side: moggy trying, tr not trying.

I left my car with the bonnet up for people to spot the extra that lurks. At times there were lone figures looking at it in disbelief, sometimes there were crowds taking photos whilst shaking there heads. When I left one of the chaps at the gate said "thats that supercharged minor, go on mate give it some" I politely said no because the engine was cold, but I really wanted to, but did behave completely.

100 % mint healey that turns up every time and I love and in the background a mint traveller:

I really recommend this meet to anyone. £1 to park and thats it. starts at 5pm. Various catering types so you can skip tea and go straight from work.
