hi guys,

well this really isn't a high priority but I do like everything just so....

My old (possibly original?) "Tudor" washer fluid bottle and pipe are showing signs of age, viz they are yellowed and quite scuffed.

Anyone know any sure-fire ways of restoring them, without risking damaging them?

Regards the bottle, put some lose gravel in the bottle, part fill with water and give it a good shake. The gravel acts as an abrasive and will take off excess gunk. Might work?

thanks steve! :D have done that, using the gentler and more high-tech method of Lakeland's famous "Magic Balls" 8)

Am considering posting a series of them down the very-tiny-diameter washer fluid pipe and swooshing them around in there too

Incidentally Lakeland's "Sticky Stuff Remover" did get some of the tarry deposits off the outside of the bottle 8) Just left with scuffed and yellowed plastic, which as aupickup says will probably have to be endured or replaced. *sigh*

Thanks, all! :D

im guessing you have "Jif" over there, the creme type abrasive kitchen cleaner (or anything similar). That works well at clearing up sun damaged plastic indicator/brake lights. Maybe some of that will work

thanks for that suggestion, tortron! Yes we have Jif, except that the manufacturers now insist on calling it "Cif" *growl growl mutter mutter Snickers mutter*. might well give it, and a clever paste called Astonish (from the ever-mighty Lakeland again), a trial on small areas to see if they have a good effect. :)

Might also try Autosol?

cheers,
