Ok I know some of you clever types can help.

She's a 948cc 2dr Basic/standard/not Deluxe

Registered in April 1959

I know she only had one Sunvisor and her heater blanking plate is still fitted so I'm assuming she just had a recirculating heater or it was a later fitting.

But what else? Did she have 0,1 or 2 gloveboxes? none fitted now but some odd holes so I'm confused, did she have overiders?

All the pictures of her show the later 1000 wings and overiders but I don't know if the overiders were original or later fitment.

Any help gratefully recieved, I've looked at Cams branch site and its giving me the basics but its the interior thats confusing me most.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I get it wrong but a standard car did not have overiders and I have a 1961 original 948 and it has 2 gloveboxes, later high wings but rear flashing brake/indicators(red colour only) no trafficators and small white front indicators.

Hope this helps.

There were a lot of changes during 1959! The horn push moved to the centre of the steering wheel instead of being on the end of the trafficator switch. Does the steering wheel pass THROUGH the parcel shelf or not?
This applied from chassis number 695864 (March 1959). In other words what is your chassis number?

Chassis no. 714215

No parcel tray so don't now but the horn seems to be in the centre of wheel.

Paul, looking at orginal MM by Ray Newell, it would appear that Milly would have had 2 glovebox lids, of the "flat" style - not the rounded top ones on the later 1000. It also appears there would only have been one sun visor.

I wil get Matt to bring the book on Thurs so you can have a look.

Overriders were always optional as were the heaters!

I thought over-riders were only fitted to delux models. No idea about heaters
