Roll over cradle

Hi

I've got hideous amounts of welding to do so need to turn the car on its side really. I'm thinking of making a roll over cradle (the one that bolts to the hubs, not the spit roast type). Has anyone made one of these? Any tips on construction, what to make it out of or any experiences etc would be most appriciated. Thanks
