Sill/ Floor Panels?

My Minor has no real sign of the outer sill panel that sits out the outside edge of teh car. And the metal the other side of the join (I assume it's the bottom of the sill box section?) is thin and mostly holed. The floor itself doesn't look too bad though.

What panels are needed? I just don't get how a Minor sill goes together!

Seeing as so far the right front inner arch has been repaired, the entire area holding the right rear front hanger on has been replaced (I say replaced - There was nothing there!), the B and C post bottoms are rotten/ missing, and I've just discovered the crossmember has pulled away from the passenger floor, I'm extremely close to scrapping this load of junk. But if someone can explain the sills, and if they don't cost too much, I'll maybe persevere.

wow! sounds like quite a job there.
It might be worth posting up some pictures so we can see the extent of the damage.
from the sounds of things it sounds like there might be some structural problems that will only get worse as you work on the car. it might be worth bracing the car as much as you can so nothing moves any more. In the BMC manual (apparently there is a pdf online somewhere) there are measurements from/to all the main chassis components and it could be worth checking these to see where you stand.

I'm pretty sure my mind is now made up, after a long chat with the guy who's been helping me with the welding. It's already been welded for repair rather than looks and spot on alignment, both since I've had it (though those repairs are going to last!) and by various garigiste da bodge over the years. It's going to be too much for me to take on to even bodge it up, let alone get the right panels, cut everything out, and weld it up properly.

So after a brief affair, the time has come to say goodbye to the Minor :(

I don't know. I've got a Metro (needs the engine replacing) that covers practicality and is fun to drive (1275 GTa), a Midget (needs what I thought was serious work, until I got the Minor!) that is the car I've always wanted, and a 70s Triumph 1500 that's my long term resto car for comfort. The Minor was meant to be a quick fix and drive daily car, but there's too many hidden horrors for me to deal with. If I hadn't taken the plunge the Midget and Metro would both be fixed by now!

I've also got less cash than space, and I haven't got any space! Having the 4 door for a couple of weeks, even with the problems, has given me the bug. But for now there's not much chance of me having another. If the 4 door doesn't sell and I can still get my hands on it, I might be rebuilding a pickup - Using the 4 door as a donor (seems a shame though, hopefully someone will take the 4 door on to repair/ restore). But that will be to save it and sell it on when done, not keep (though it'd be nearly the perfect car for me really, 2 seats and loads of boot space :) ).

If only Travellers weren't so pricey, I'd be very tempted to go for one of those for my practical load lugger.

There's a tiny voice at the back of my mind saying "keep the Minor, fix it when you can", but that was the idea with my Triumph, and it's been off the road for 5 or 6 years now, and still isn't any closer to being finished...
