National Rally - Facilities

Post by grahamt7 »

Anyone know what the state of play is regarding camping / entertainment / facilities etc? Are we having a web-camp-area like last year??

From what I have heard from others...

There place is basically well setup for vehicle events and apparently there are lots of proper brick built loos :)

The camp area is apparently a fair (15min) walk away from the main arena and we will probably be based (ie. the kettle will be) in the branch alley area

You should have received Minor Matters on Saturday and there's a full spread in there telling you all about it. :)

Received my rally pack the other day and found all the items that have been located on the printed Google earth map are somewhat misplaced.
The marquee is on top of stanford hall itself! Branch avenue is in the lake and the red spot marked stanford hall is a field!

Thats how its shown on the website so it must be correct! :) Thought someone would have noticed - especially before printing it out...
Not being into website design myself I presume its difficult to overlay stuff onto Google maps. Had a similar problem sometime back with a branch website showing the pub meet in the middle of a crossroads. Quite comical really, but sorted it in the end.

Too late now, but isn't in a bit crazy to camp elsewhere? Can't make out where the showers and loos will be, campsite or rally site. Haven't got my pack.

i don't have my pack yet, but being disabled i am a bit keen to find if there is a camping option which doesn't involve a 15-minute walk to the rally field :-? Anyone know? I'm just sleeping in the van anyway...

They'll be showers on site in the camping field and loo blocks and they'll also be loo blocks dotted around the rally site together with brick facilities near the stable block.

well the last couple of shows the camp site has all ways been away from the rally feild, which in my opinion is not good, nicer to have the rally where we camp

£12.00 for the car if you pay in advance (£15 on day)
£6.00 per night for camping 20X20 plot
£3.50 for 60th rally booklet
and Party tickets

Application form is on back of address sheet that came with MM or

if you go to main web page you can down load the application form and send to Liz Saxon at the MMOC office.

Hope that helps.

You can come in any car, but you may find that you are parked in a non Minor zone so as not to spoil the photos etc.

Entry is £12 per car pre-booked or £15 on the day to club members.
Non - members entry fee is £15. (Not sure how much if you turn up without a car)
Camping is £6 per night per tent.
Saturday night 'entertainment' is £7.50 per adult.
