Well been a Minor owner for less than a week now and been out and about in her as much as I can, Zafira is parked up unused right now!
One thing I have noticed is the amount of people that look as I drive past. Mostly people of my parents generation being around late 60's early 70's, so I guess a bit of a reminise for them. But also a number of younger people too. I had (from what I noticed as I was looking at the road - honest!) a couple of rather nice looking men in their 30's stop and look ( I am female btw) I think I have unwittingly found a pulling wagon in my Minor. Oh happy days really are here....

Doesn't everyone get chatted up whilst driving a Minor? You get used to allowing a bit more time to get petrol/shopping after a while! It's part of Minor ownership isn't it?

You will always get some attention driving a Minor, or any other classic really. There is a girl round here who drives a lovely A35 and I often see a young lady in a great Moggie 4 door.
There are more young people getting into old cars now, which is good for them and for the classic movement.

Recent new comer to Minor ownership and I agree. Its brilliant the amount of smiles and such you get while driving along, its because we bring an antidote to modern day dullness....well thats what I like to think....maybe they're just laughing cos they think we're nutters haha

I get that a lot from the young lads who live on the rough estate I drive through on the way to and from work. I don't mind except when they were throwing snowballs at the windows of passing cars and ran out of snow so started using big clumps of frozen mud instead. Or around bonfire night when they like to throw bangers...

I had a rather nice comment from a lady driver of a Nissan Figaro at a petrol station once along the lines that 'it's nice to see a real classic rather than a 'replica''.... As the Minor I was in had a duff dynamo, broken exhaust strap, a slightly iffy tyre, and worryingly stiff steering I'd have been happy to do a straight swap for her 'Micra in a party frock', but didn't like to spoil the effect!
I also waited till she'd driven off before getting the starting handle out and doing battle with the beast...

I always find that besides admiring looks I too get compliments on the car regardless of her state - unwashed, covered in dirt from the road and trying to resuscitate a half-flat tyre, viewed from the side with most chips in the paintwork, people still think she looks "smart" (besides, of course, being beautiful).
And I know several pleasant young women who genuinely enjoy an innocent ride in a minor - almost a shame I'm not single, really.
