Heater Pipes

Post by millerman »

Have just fitted a mini heater in my traveller.

Which way round are the heater pipes fitted for most efficient heating?

Cheers All

Doesn't matter - just fit best way for hose run.

Since hot water rises it is more efficient if the hose from the cylinder head goes to the top of the heater unit.

Could easily argue the other way - hot water into bottom of heater unit so it will rise through the matrix! Honestly - it's being pumped through, and either way will be fine.

Thanks for replies.

My thinking was the same as Willies' but as BMC points out it probably doesn't matter!
