I have water in the boot and cannot fathom where it might be coming from. Do minors have a typical area for this?
Any help and suggestions welcome

Check the foam boot seal that runs along the inside of the boot lid and the rear window seal.
You will be suprised at how much water a dodgey window seal can let in!!

Another place worth checking is where the wiring for the rear lights passes through the inner wings.

Also where the bumper seals pass through the shell - and the fuel pipe....
Might just drill holes in the bottom!

And where the fuel filler pipe comes in - most likely place I think.

Dont forget the lettering on the boot either.
Saloons are a bit prone to this and can be quite difficult to track down, you can remove the rear seat back and look into the boot with a torch or similar while someone uses a hose or watering can to see if you can spot the guilty area.
