Online renewal?

I tried last year, and the year before, and was told it would be fixed.
I've tried this year only to get the lovely '500' error.
I'm wondering if anyone has managed to get it to work in the last year - i.e. is it just me and/or is it always broken or just some times of the year?

Ray, We've had no reports of any problems and the renewals are coming in daily.

must just be me!

I've tried quite a few times and get an error when submitting the page after typing in all my details
Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.
I presume I'm using the right form on the website (it says 2008):

Well you live and learn!
I followed the link on the left to join, then to renewals... (seemed logical to me)
If you follow completely different links, you get to the form a differnet way and the other way works!
Many thanks Lou for your assurances that it works for other people - that gave me the incentive to see if I could find a different version of the same form.

My apologies - . The other link should have been removed. There were originally 2 there, so people could renew late for last year (different rates). The system broke recently, and I had to rewrite the whole process. I obviously forgot to remove the other link.
The system used to have problems with people using shortcuts, and with browsers that didn't send 'referrer' details. Since the rewrite I have had no reports of problems.
I'll remove the dud link as soon as I get home tonight.

Ahh, glad it's been sorted. I tried to renew online this year (as I did last year, successfully) but got the 500 error. I presumed it was something to do with Firefox and being pushed for time, renewed via post.
Took a minute or two to remember how to fill a cheque in...

It took me a week to write a cheque last month! (6 days to find my cheque book and a day to write it, and get it into the post box
