Albert was a dream. I can't believe how much stiffer the chassis is than the previous restored convertible I had. Must be better quality panels and a more thorough restoration I guess.
The only hiccough today was fuel starvation caused by a blocked filter. A salutory lesson to anyone contemplating using an old fuel tank. I had done (or so I thought) a thorough job of cleaning out the tank but after filling up and driving straight off I'd sucked so much crud up the pipe that the clear filter was dark brown and whilst stopped in a Forest carpark I was reverse flushing the fuel filter in the gents washbasin!
