Hello Kim,

what are you trying to do. I'm not aware of any angle procedure for the torsion bars?
Basically you adjust the torsion bars to give the ride height you want. If the car is too low by a large amount the suspension arm needs to be taken off the splines and moved around (1 spline gives about 1 1\2" or 38mm difference in ride height) or if less by adjusting the plate at the rear of the torsion bar.

Hi!

It's my dad who build up his 55. And he wondered if there was any special way to mount the bars!

Hello Kim,

there is a specific measurement when assembling the suspension, but unfortunately I don't know it. I'm sure there will be someone on here though that does. Make sure the bar goes back on the same side as it came off.

You need to try it and see - the car will settle down over the first few days/weeks and then you will almost certainly need to re-adjust.

Ah ok - I alway's wondered if there was an official setting! :D

I use 4 fingers width between the pivot hole in the bottom trunnion (when suspension is on bottom bump stop) and the free end of the torsion bar arm. You can use a lever but I use a jack to raise the torsion bar arm up to mate with the trunnion pivot pin. If using a jack it can jump out so make sure you allow for that!
