Door handle replaced - finally!

What a job that was (my fault)!
Finally got round to doing it. Removed all appropriate bolts. But could not work out where the nuts under the ventilator panel were, so called a well known and helpful garage, and they told me.
They also gave me some useful advice to save the hassle of removing the window frame: undo the bolts in the top corner. Great!
Or it would have been if those screws hadn't been completely stripped. The joys of a 40 year old car.
So went back to undoing the nuts under the ventilator. Oh joy, need a deep socket set - which I don't have. Went and bought the right bit (or so I thought) - fine for the minor, but didnt fit my wrench (idiot!). Moaned to my dad who said "I have a complete set!" Great!
In a jiffy had the whole thing apart. Was a bit of a palaver to actually pull it up and out but it emerged happily enough. Got out the locking mechanism and had another job getting the pin out of the way.
But oh the joy when I inserted the new handle (thanks Alex!) and fitted it back, and it worked so nicely. Great!
Then came the big trouble - getting the frame back into the door. It wouldnt go! Managed eventually, but somehow made a bit of a mess and have left a small hole in the door that will have to be filled - just at the side of the window channel, where the rain would flow in... typical!
Thanks for all your help and advice in getting it sorted though!!
