Dennis a couple of our branch members have had wings recently and both used the proper ones rather than the pattern ones as the quality of these seems to vary according to the specialists, one friend who is a valleter by trade has used pattern wings but said it involved a lot more work to get them to fit properly and said if you were having it done in a body shop it would end up costing more due to the extra time taking in fitting them.
So it would appear that pattern wings are Ok if you dont mind the extra work or pay the extra £20:00 if you are having someone else do the work for you.

Yes, I had a look at a rear valance repair section yesterday but I was not impressed by the quality. I have not seen other Moggy repair sections so I can't compare, but I have seen (and used) a lot of Heritage panels for the MGB and they are a lot better quality.

I am sure that both East Sussex Minors and Bull Motif supply both Genuine and Pattern parts, as East Sussex are your nearest give them a call and ask their opinion.

The problem with the best deal (pattern parts) the fitting quality seems to be all over the place (sometimes they are fine) as where the genuine/heritage parts tend to be much easier to fit, as for wings there is around £20:00 difference between pattern & genuine, Bull Motif were doing genuine ones for £70 + vat recently.

NickMurphy,
Probably a good idea making calls to a few traders listed in the owners club mag.
Places like Bull Motif make an effort to supply good quality parts. I've not always had the same feeling when dealing with b'ham.
