Just depends if there is any clearance to let the grease in. It doesn't take much - it's only a wee joint!

Dale you did have the car on stands and not on the ground when you greased it as normally the excessive grease just squeezes out.

You can get lots of grease in track rod ends!
I like to see the rubber boot swell a bit as it goes in :)
Is it coming out between the gun and the nipple?
If so either try moving the gun around till the grease goes in or try putting a piece if cloth over the nipple first to make a good seal.
If you are using a cheap grease gun that relies on a rubber washer to seal it may be difficult to get a good seal. The best type fit over the nipple and need a good push to get on and off.

ive finally got grease in there, with a lot of wiggling taking the nipple out and a bit of wire in the hole.i sort of primed the trackrod end,put the nipple back in then the grease gun and the grease went in.i serviced the whole car while i was at it,engine diff and gearbox oil changes plugs air filter, brakes, filter in pump checked every grease nipple done,so we should be ok for a year.

Did you lubricate the rack?
There is a grease nipple behind a rubber bung in the passenger side floor about where their toes would be.
The manual calls for axle oil in there though some people here say grease is OK too.
It makes quite a difference if it hasn't been done for a while.

Grease helps to cut down any rattling!
