does any one know the difference between the bottom trunnions on the marina and minor and are they interchangeable

I believe they are not interchangeable - but I too am keen to hear what the differences are! If the 'thread' happened to be the same then possibly any other differences could be overcome.

Just had a look at the Marina manual and the setup does look slightly different. There is a bottom trunnion as on the Minor but a ball joint at the top where the lever shocker arm fits directly onto. Also the eyebolt seems to bolt up through the chassis vertically. I guess suspension alignment would be an issue even if it could all be made to fit.
Is anyone still in contact with Owen Burton?

Thanks Dennis - and otherwise they look to be the same dimensions? If so - quite a few sets of bottom trunnions on ebay and not expensive!

Got any pics aupickup? I just tried a marina trunnion and it was too big for the minor leg, also the geometry looked different. Maybe there are different versions?

Maybe but hope not - I won a Marina trunnion on ebay and waiting for it to arrive. maybe van trunnions are different - they used a bigger wheel pcd so may be other differences.

Well -my 'marina' trunnion arrived and it is exactly the same as the Minor trunnion EXCEPT the thread for the kingpin is larger and so it cannot be used. Every other dimension is the same as the Minor.

It's otherwise exactly same as Minor. There is a printed note with the part to say it's not suitable for Marina TC - that's all!
