Sounds like you've got a short somewhere - check all wiring.

I assume you have the relay unit in the engine bay which means that the rear side lightss also act as the indicators? If this is true then your best bet is to disconnect the items which you mentioned one at a time and see if the 'short' is still there. For example: disconnect the plain green lead from the wiper box- then check the fuse. Next, disconnect the Green/purple lead from the relay unit and try again. This method is a simple way of isolating where the 'short' is. It would be easier on the 'fuse price' if you could connect a test bulb/meter/ or buzzer across the fuse contacts instead.

Hi Ernie
I hade a similar problem and I think if I remember correctly it was the brake light pressure switch that was faulty. The pressure switch if you are not sure is at the front driver’s corner of the engine bay Ernie. Just pull the wires off, just make sure the live wire does not touch the body and try the fuse again or as Willie said, a tester would be better. It’s just a process of elimination.
Good luck.

All of those items are ignition controlled. Do the indicators work? I would start by checking the fuses and cleaning all the contacts up on the fusebox
