Garage recommendation needed, Northamptonshire.

Hello all, this is my first post so please bear with me.
I am the very proud owner of Stanley, a Morris Traveller who is a major member of our dog rescue organisation. Stanley has been specially fitted to transport dogs and he has saved many a life. He attracts much attention when we have fund raising stalls at dog shows.
We moved to the Wellingborough area last year, and this is where we need a recommendation. Stanley is due for his MOT and I wondered if anyone in the Wellingborough/Northamptonshire area could recommend a good mechanic / MOT station that has a clue about Moggies!
I'm a bit dubious about taking him somewhere 'unknown' as when I took him in locally to get a new tyre, the person at the garage had a blank expression and a 'we don't have the tools for that' comment! Its a tyre for goodness sake!
If anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully received.
