Well not really my cup of tea, but looks to be pretty well done. Not sure about the handling in a high wind though

I also think the engine may struggle to pull all that extra weight. Mind you, compared to the snail, much better IMHO.

I quite like that, it's been thought out well. Looks much safer to drive, the snail always looked like there was to much weight over the back end picking up the front, and top heavy making for some intersting driving, this one looks very level. Oh why don't people paint the engine bay

. Is it a new build do you think?

Now that don't look too bad, I'm glad I didn't win the snail on e-bay but this looks ok to me.
The seller states that it was made for the GPO and I wonder if anyone knows if thats true and it's an original.

Mal it says .........
Originally built for post office in the early 70's and converted into a camper late 70's,
chances are it was a van once upon a time ........

Certainly does look like the blue Q plater. If I remember correctly, it was looking a bit tatty (wings etc) and in need of a makeover. Think it was just over a grand too back then.
Looks like it got the makeover and a spare logbook too! Not surprising really as it wouldn't have been tax exempt on a Q plate (if it is the same vehicle).
Still a bit square for my liking though. Needs a curving roofline and a bit more style. Very practical though!

I've got some pics of the Q plate one. I'll see if I can find them

If you look close at the view through the drivers door, you can see bits of blue paint on the door rubber. Odd that they weren't changed when it was repainted as they'd got old blue paint on them.
If it is the same vehicle of course!

Hmm.. sounds a bit funny to me, as I asked a few questions via e-bay and waited well over 24hrs only to receive a reply telling me to ring the owner on the no; in the advert

I thought that was the idea of ask seller a question on e-bay
I'm not bothering now...

To be fair he does say selling for a friend. However £3,400 with reserve not met with over 2 days to go!
Wish I had one to sell at that price.

Looks like the camper van that lived around here that was called Bluebell - does seem to be the same blue anyway - good idea but I wouldn't like to drive it a bit unstable and underpowered.
Found it!
