I assume you mean the oil seal around the crankshaft pulley?. You can get replacements, they normally come with the sump gasket set. I replaced mine when I rebuilt the engine 3 years ago, haven't had any leaks so far touch wood...

Its called chassis lubrication. Stops the floor pan going rusty!!
