Moggy Traveller - An odd request

Post by Scirocco_Steve »

Hi - This is a little out of the blue especially as a new member - but I am trying to 'borrow' a traveller for a day next week, let me explain why;

My auntie (a lady called Dorethy) died at the end of last week, she was a loverly person who was keen on cars and motorsport (She used to campaign a Morgan in Hill climbing with her husband), and she used to own a Morris Minor Traveller. I myself am a car enthusiast (unfortunatly I tend to stick to older fords, and the occasional imp!) and whenever I was visiting her the talk would usually end up swinging round to her traveller which she sold when she gave up driving, and basically how much she regretted selling her even tho she could no longer drive. I always said to her that if I came across one I would get it and take her out for a drive in it but like so many things it never happened and now it is too late(ish). It would mean alot if I could use a traveller in the funeral procession or to deliver her ashes (although that does mean a fairly lenghthy drive so the funeral would probably be the better idea).

I am in Blackpool and the funeral is in Lancaster and if anyone could lend me a traveller, I would happily pay for the days loan and as a gaurentee leave my car with log book (You can have a choice of a couple!) so that you know I am not going to run away with it!

I know this is asking a huge amount and is very late in the day but I had managed to sort one out with a friend but unfortunatly that has fallen through, if you can help me could you ring me on 07835 747583 - (I'll happily ring you back to save your bill), thanks in advance.

Steve, deepest sympathies. We have a Lancashire branch of our club. The contact is Steve Rose who actually lives in Lancaster.

His contact number is 01five24three2eight6zero. He may be able to put you in touch with a member who could help
