Electric windscreen spray...

Post by jackkelleher »

Just installed one. Very conventient, very satisfying and generally easier to use than the old push ones! Just recommending it. I used the ESM kit, and though there were no instructions it came with everything else needed. The wiring is really simple...

I'm sure you could nick a modern washer bottle with pump built-in from a scrappy for not a lot of money, then make your own switch.

I guess the kit comes with a 'period' switch and all looks factory?
What would Macgyver do..?

More or less. The switch is a spring-loaded toggle, and I mounted mine in a handy hole in the underside of the dash that a previous owner used for a switch which went nowhere... Everything looks very smart, yes, but the way I put it in, it's all invisible anyway! It's also easily reversible, of course.

Spring loaded toggle? So it doesnt actually 'catch' in the on position?

Hmmm.. I could use one of them as a light flasher for letting people out and things...

Yes, it would be great for that! I don't know where to get them separately, but I was already thinking of a few uses for one...
