hi guys,
my paintshop lost my bumper blade, bless 'em, so I need to find a new one
What do I need to ask for to get the best quality? is there a particularly good make or supplier? Should I get a "naked" one and get it chromed myself? if so, where do I go for top quality chrome plating?
And no, although it's a van I am going to go for a saloon blade, WITH overriders!

Out of stock unfortunately, but I think BM do the high quality chrome stuff as well.

Juliet.............I hope you are not putting a chrome saloon bumber on the LCV? You need a painted silver one, shorter to fit the correct valance you have!!

true Russ but chrome does look good! my van came with a saloon valance and blade. Ithink was fitted when it came to Malta as it still has the original GPO yellow on it which was presumably sprayed to make it look factory paint!

Is that all, blimey! In the world of Classic Japanese motorcycles i would be lucky to get a genuine NOS front mudguard for less than 200 quid!

fully aware of the spec for the correct blade, Russ, but determined to completely ruin the authenticity of the van, I'm afraid - I much prefer the look of the saloon blade and overriders - all the more so since the van's change of colour
Of course as a female person I reserve the right to completely change my mind, on a whim, at any point, on this as on any subject
the good thing about the changes I'm making to the van though is that they are all completely reversible if at any point a future owner (over my dead body, literally, I hope) wanted to return it to standard spec

no, really annoyingly I am still making terribly slow progress... hopefully next year's Brooklands!
My current goal for completion is the National, but that might be a tad optimistic.... I can dream, eh
