Hi all,

I have just bought a pair of new front wings, not Heritage ones because I cannot justify the cost of these, has any one got any tips on how to fill the join at the front neatly and so the filler doesnt fall out after a year?

Thanks

Steve

Just sand off the factory primer to give the metal a 'key' and fill with good quality bondo. Sanding with 80 grit glass paper does a good job of prep for bondo.

Just as moggy tech says, give the area a damn good rub 'n' scratch and then apply a decent filler. I use Davids Isopon myself, but theres plenty of good ones to choose from.

Key the area with 40 grit paper and then fill. With 40 grit keying you will be able to sand the filler to a feather edge.

Or better still for a metal repair clean paint off the joint area, tin and lead load it.
