Mamish Macbeth Minor Convertible

Post by ayr41 »

Hi, hope someone might be able to help me locate a Morris Minor Convertible that was used in the Hamish Macbeth series shot in Plockton in the Scottish Highlands in th 90's, dark blue with a red convertible roof, forlorn hope and don't really know where or how to track down the car even if it is still in existance, if anyone could help on any info would be most grateful. Many thanks in anticipation Stephen.

Do you have the registration number of the car as that will help a bit.
Cheers

But at least it is still around - somewhere. If you have 'reasonable cause' then you can apply to DVLA for the owners details for a small fee.

Many thanks for all your help, I looked at the DVLA site and printed off V888 form, in your opinion do you think they would give the infomation of the owner if I was interested in buying the car, assuming it is in a state which can be restored to roadworthness, or would I be wasting my time with this request. Cheers Stephen.

Well hopefully they would at least pass your details onto the current owner if they wont give you the details.
Cheers

Are you sure its off the road?
I assume that "Date of Liability 01 10 2008" means its taxed till the end of September.
And "Vehicle Status SORN Not Due" backs that up.
I'm probably wrong  but thats how I read it.

"SORN not due" means it is currently SORNed, whereas if it was taxed it would say "Licence not due"

I think that date is when the SORN declaration needs to be renewed. They only last a year now.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Aha! I see. :)
I was reading 'Liability' as pay money instead of fill in form.
Thanks for the info.
