Our Traveller came with a Waso locking petrol cap which I would like to revert back to standard. There is a adapter/collar on the top of the petrol filler pipe which I cannot shift, any ideas? I guess heat is a no-no

I think it is held on with 1 or 2 screws. If not, then careful use of a hacksaw.

locking collars are held on with tiny screws just unscrew then and lift out.

You can always remove the upper part from the flexible pipe as its only held in place with a jubilee clip and then you can see exactly whats what with a lot better access.

You might regret changing it when you find your petrols been sucked out during the night. Aparently minis with the flip lid style caps are having this trouble at moment.

Agreed Robins, I have had this twice on my pickup in the last month

, price of petrol drives people to it I guess.
