MM split axle - Propshaft oil seal replacement ?

Is it possible to replace the prop seal without spliting the axle and removing the diff unit ?

My workshop book is not much use on the subject

Yes!!,
Support the rear axle on axle stands (safety first)
Remove 4 nuts and bolts holding propshaft to diff and push propshaft out of the way. You may find it necessary to apply the handbrake in order to undo the bolts.
With handbrake applied remove nut and washer on end of pinion shaft then pull off flange. It may be necessary to tap it off with a hammer.
Remove oil seal and take it along to your local bearing supplier to match it for a replacement.
Re-assemble in the reverse order and check the gearbox oil level. Top up with Hypoid 90.
Whist you are there check the shock absorber oil levels.
Now go out and enjoy a drive in your MM.

Or use an impact gun, if you have one.

I have found the oil seal for my MM by ESM. See http://morrisminorspares.co.uk/shop/ind ... c1234262df.
