I had the camera handy for sure. Thing is, at 99,999 miles, the darned odometer stuck! Just a faint click as it tried to get to 100,000. So onto nearest dual carrageway, up to 65 MPH and gave the speedo face a few taps with the left hand. That did the trick :D

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Bueller
Thoughts of the car 'Christine' from the Steven King Film came to mind! When the odometer stuck between 99,999 and 00000 I was kind of expecting something bad to happen.

Well done! You know my milometer stuck at 50000 as well took three miles of dual carrigeway and thumping to get it to roll over I wonder if they all do it.
By the way my Pajero has a Kilometre Mileometer! so should it be correctly called a kilometrekilometer?
I'll see you on the otherside'!

One thing about Christine I liked, was the ability for the car to self repair, even after being totaly wrecked by the gang. How cool would it be, to see a bit of rusty bodywork fall off, only to be replaced by new shiny metal, primed and sprayed, without even lifting a finger.

One slightly spooky thing has happened. The rattle from inside the drivers door has gone since the magic 100,000 miles rolled past. Knowing my luck, it was probably a pound coin, which is now sitting on a road somewhere. :o

Yes and Yes :D I once dropped a 50 pence piece, and it hit me in the back of the head when I bent down to pick it up. :D
