Hello Frank, when we fitted the sound deadening kit/bulkhead kit in sons car we used some pins (looked like large but strong plastic/metal drawing pins.) Have you tried somewhere like ESM or any of the mailorder places? Hope this helps

yes the sound deadening kit came with pins from ESM the question is where it goes on? I know the insulation kit goea on at the back of the dash as it has been cut to shape but the sound deadening one is square, or does this need to be cut to shape?

Ok, heres what we did. Took out seats, steering wheel (two needed and we couldnt both get in with all that in the way)!. We shaped the deadening kit to the same as the (roughly and neatly) insulation kit.
We used rubber headed hammer (like tent hammer) One lay upside down and held both and the other pierced both with pin and hit it into place. It took a bit of doing and its quite hard work but its very quiet and everyone comments on how quiet the car is compared with theirs.

Good luck. :D

From what I remember the sound deadening has a black textured side. This is the right side that you see if you look at it when fitted in car. The insulatioin goes behind it against the metal bulkhead. Does this make sense now?

I'll take that as a compliment! I always seem to be around when anything complicated needs to be installed. It was also that blazing hot summer of 2003 when we did this. Very hot work! Lying upside down in 80 degrees doing that stick in ones memory!
