DVLA mileage recording

Since the Post Office and DVLA started the speedier processing of car tax renewals the application form is scrapped at the PO after completing the tax disk issue. Even if you complete the mileage box it doesn't go anywhere which is a shame as it's a useful record for the car. Does anyone know if you do it on-line with DVLA whether they keep the record?

Yes, if you enter the optional mileage tick box online, the DVLA keep a record of the mileage entered.
