Wheel Colour

I have my Traveller first registered 31st July 1967. Can anyone tell me what the original colour of the wheels would have been. They are currently dull silver but i am wondering if they would have been white. I am going to repaint them and i may as well get it right.

and it says Oct 67 onwards dark silver and pre Oct 67 OEW

That is very interesting and sadly compulsive viewing! It means only 1 out of 3 of the Minors in my care is correct in all its colours etc.

But lots of owners prefer the look of Old English White on the wheels and I have to agree

Well, the convertible project will have (wrong) OEW wheels, and a 68 convertible is not supposed to have OEW body panels either.
I like the traveller with silver wheels, on that one the grille was incorrectly painted by me in Rover ARum white, which is closer to OEW than the correct Snowberry.
Good job I dont do concours!

It should be but if you have problems sourcing some Rover Arum White is vertually identical as chickenjohn has mentioned, and I didnt realise that Snowberry White was ever used on the grills which I dont like as much as its got a sort of slight geen tinge to it.

Kevin/Chickenjohn Recently I asked a local car spares shop to get me a spray can of what the catalog said was Rover OEW/Arum White . When it arrived the cap was labelled Arum Beige & it did seem too dark . Is it possible that I received the wrong thing & Arum White is lighter & more correct ?

It sounds like they supplied you with the wrong colour, its usually on the shelf in Halfords and if not they can always make you a can up with their onsite paint mixing machine they seem to have all the correct old paint codes.
