Hello,
As previously mentioned I have just got my MM van going after 15 yrs of storage.
I have now got the enginge running sweetly but the generator light remains on even though the generator is producing power.
Has anyone got some ideas about where to look next?
Cheers Scott

Try cleaning the contacts in the voltage regulator box.

Oh, and yes, that's the one - I assume Alex doesn't mean the small one in the dash, though I can't be certain

Yes, that's right. As you're looking at the box with the lid off, the right-hand pair of contacts is supposed to cut in when you rev the engine high enough for it to start charging, and the left hand pair cuts out very slightly to limit the voltage and/or generator current. If either of them has corroded in storage it can cause charging problems.
Ooo-er. 2001: a Space Odyssey.

This is a problem I have encountered many times, usually after a vehicle has been left stored for a while in damp or very cold conditions.
Use very fine sandpaper to lightly clean the contacts and all should be well

Or borrow the wife's emery board ( the one she uses for her nails)
