HI all, do you know if those original cable ties for holding the brake lines tied to the axle are available from somewhere? Thanks

Would beware of using metal - couldnt that cause a weakpoint if one got loose?

I know it's not original and all that but I do think the plastic (nylon) ties are so much nicer!

Plastic get my vote too.
If you really want metal look no further then most car main dealers parts dept.
When you take into account maybe having to buy a pack of 10 etc and shipping from UK to Malta then main agent price might work out reasonable for the quantity you need.
They are use to hold the boot onto CV joints so you might even find a garage that throws them away if they come with a boot kit and uses the plastic type instead.

BTW any better pics of the rear of your pick-up as the tub looks intersting

HAC 941.
It's different to the normal UK style and I think looks neat.
Is is local made ?

yes it is most pick-ups in Malta are ex GPO Vans cut in half! left the cargo area in the Uk and brought in containers to Malta then the chassis was welded at the port back in place then taken to different garages where their backs were welded on, now some garages had good work and fitted pick-up cab panels and welded the Maltese back to it! others fabricated the back panel with a square windscreen and plain sides, HAC 941 has one of the nicest backs fitted with the moulding at the bottom, the other partly diamantled pick-up has the plain one, all these backs though had the floor welded to the side which resulted in the sides being distorted!
