Windscreen wipers

I seem to be getting water in the front, into the glove box (and onwards down to the parcel shelf) on the passenger and drivers sides.
I don't think its the windscreen rubber, I think it may be from the windscreen wipers, are there rubber seals that seal off the wiper posts to the bodywork??
I'd like to seal them before I start with a radio

Yes - the wiper spindle mounts should seal the holes.

ah, just looked on a parts website and notice there should be a gasket under the "chrome embellishers" (great name that), I'll check that out tomorrow.

Also check the gaskets are in place for the bonnet hinges.

I used instant gasket under mine - but then I was desperate at the time.

Also make sure that the bonnet hinge is securely bolted to the panel beneath the windscreen. Very awkward to reach this nut and very easy to drop the spanner which will disappear into the inner wing for ever
unless you tie it to your wrist with string!

I dropped a spanner into the rear seat, so now I'm looking for a magnet. Never thought to tie it to my wrist!
(could ask my son to fetch it out as he's only 9 with smaller hands...ahaa...That's a plan.)

Stroke of genius there!
I've lost count of the amount of spanners and things I've lost down crevices over the years.

Shame it probably doesnt work for sockets too.
