straight 6

Post by callyspoy »

has anyone ever done it? my car before the mog was a Supra mkiii(pretty cool when you're 20!!) and always laughed with my dad about putting the engine in the car as, ahem, it was allegedly capable of 150mph in a barge like car...but i know space would OBVIOUSLY be a massive issue, just thought it would be quite fun! anyone ever heard of a different straight 6 conversion etc...

I've heard of a jag AJ6 converstion which meant moving the bulkhead back a huge amount. Theres so many screamy 4 pots to chose from that will need less modifying to fit though. Have you seen the thread about the minor body on a 200sx floor pan? Also on retro-rides is a cossy powered space frame minor! http://retrorides.proboards86.com/index ... 428&page=1

The thiong that will get in the way of diong htis is the lack of depth in the engine bay. Even the relatively short rotary engine in my traveller has had to have the bulkhead 'ectioned' alot ot fit it in without having too much weight over the fron wheels. Would be very cool though to have a supra powered moggy!!!!!!
cheers, michael.

It is actually in the for sale section but am opin no one sees the add so it wont sell!!! I will get some photos of it when the rain stops. For a small engine it has taken alot of trial and error in fitting it as even once you have gotten the blokc of a different engine in it is al of the bolt on stuff that causes massive headaches. Go zetez or toyota twin cam. Been done before and done well.
cheers, michael.
