A Sunny Day

Well after what seems like an eternity of freezing cold, salted roads, or peeing rain, the sun came out today, and got the temperature in Central Scotland up to a blistering 42F
I'd forgot just how much fun the Moggy is to drive. She's been round the block a few times during the bad weather, just to keep things working, but today we did a 40 mile round trip, with a stop in South Queensferry for a coffee with some biker mates.
Hopefully we might get a summer this year

nother sunny day!
Seems to only rain in the mornings then again in the evenings which is a shame as the suns only out when I'm stuck at work.

As the sun began to set the wind dropped - were promised a frost tonight, Did the animals had about 15 mins of light left, thought great, theres a little job i need to do on the range rover that wont take 5 minutes.
Fetched the trans fluid i needed to top up, went to the car and popped the bonnet, by now its still and calm - even began to feel warm even though it was -something.
DEEP JOY a can of beer discovered in the centre console - mmm nature chilled beer
Opened it had a delicious sip, bonnet was up by now, placed beer on the outside between windscreen and bonnet. Put 1st litre of fluid in, crancked the motor to run it through the box to check the level.
DEEP SADNESS Junior dog helper had jumped in and as usual hit the wiper stalk to on as she hopped in.
Ign on - wiper flips - beer no more
to top that the wind came back from nowhere so i made a hasty retreat into the warmth & light

So the dog owes you a beer, and the pig get's free taxi rides, you are way to generous
I put some bread out for the birds and peanuts for the squirrels. The squirrels will reward me with their funny antics, and birds will thank me by pooping all over my other car that sits on the driveway

Well it happens on a weekly basis, decided now going to make a beer holder from a bit of pipe and screw it to the dash in the thing !
Ah the luxury of not driving on a public road
Dont get me started on the pig - going to update that thread - its got HUGE - it's brilliant though, dances every morning - always know its 12.30 in the day cuse its there at the front door snorting and oinking till it gets its bowl of warm porridge - felt sorry for it one cold day and made some, it hasnt let me stop

Must be a happy porker, getting it's oats every day. It does sound as though you lead a rather interesting life on that island

Does anyone play the banjo? If you could post a pic of the pig eating porridge, and the dog knocking beers over, it might get a laugh or ten.
